Vicuna Finance is proud to be one of the ten projects awarded the prestigious Emerald (Tier 1) Sonic Boom tier. All gems allocated to Vicuna Finance directly benefit our investors, offering the unique chance to earn fully unlocked "S" rewards with no vesting requirements!
Sonic Gems are distributed using a structured approach designed to reward apps within the Sonic ecosystem. By considering factors such as category relevance, exclusivity, and effective reward distribution, this system promotes fairness and incentivizes active participation.
Below are the key criteria that will determine an app's share of Gems in Season 1:
1: Category: (the red marked is where Vicuna Finance sits)
2: Native yes or no?
Apps are assigned different weights depending on their level of exclusivity to Sonic:
Weight 2: Exclusively available on Sonic (Vicuna Finance is Sonic Native)
Weight 1: Primarily on Sonic but accessible elsewhere
Weight 0.5: Available across multiple chains
3: Point score (usage score)
Point score is determined by calculating the total amount of Sonic Points that an app has generated for its users. This score is then divided by the total points generated across all eligible apps.
Vicuna Finance is introducing a new token in collaboration with Merkle, VicunaShardsS1, with a capped supply of 10,000,000 tokens. These tokens serve as receipt tokens, representing a proportional share of the total $S tokens allocated to Vicuna Finance following the conclusion of Season 1.
Key details:
VicunaShardsS1 tokens will be transferable and tradeable.
The entire $S allocation from Season 1 will be distributed to the Vicuna Finance community through these tokens.
By minting VicunaShardsS1, Vicuna Finance ensures transparent and equitable distribution of the rewards received, reinforcing its commitment to community ownership and value sharing.
The Fee Monetization (FeeM) program on the Sonic blockchain, formerly known as Gas Monetization, enables developers to earn up to 90% of the fees generated by their applications. This initiative provides sustainable revenue for developers, retains top talent, and strengthens the network’s infrastructure.
